The purpose of this study is to investigate the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across the food supply chain to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and promote sustainability. The study aims to quantify the impact of AI applications, such as predictive analytics in crop yield estimation, automated sorting in food processing, and dynamic pricing algorithms in retail. The result of the study demonstrates that AI-driven precision agriculture can increase crop yields by up to 20% while reducing resource use by 15%. Similarly, AI models in logistics enable just-in-time inventory management, minimizing spoilage by 30%. These interventions can reduce global food waste by 25%, save up to $150 billion annually, and improve resilience against supply chain disruptions. However, the deployment of AI also raises ethical considerations, including data privacy and equitable access. Overall, this study highlights AI’s transformative role in reshaping the food economy for a sustainable and inclusive future, offering a roadmap for stakeholders to harness its full potential.
