Editorial Policies

Authorship

An author is the creator of an original work, whether that work is in written, graphic, or recorded medium (Wikipedia). Authorship is limited to those who have contributed substantially to the development of a research manuscript. The ICMJE recommends that an author should meet all four of the following criteria:

1. Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work;

2. Drafting the work or reviewing it critically for important intellectual content;

3. Final approval of the version to be published;

4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Change of Authorship

Insight Journals is committed to maintaining the highest standards in publication ethics. As such, we adhere to the COPE specification whenever there is a need to make any changes in the authorship of a manuscript or a published article. Only corresponding authors can make a request for a change in authorship.

All correspondence regarding “change of authorship” should be addressed to the editorial office.

Manuscript Submission

Authors should read and follow the Instructions for Authors carefully before manuscript submission. A manuscript should be prepared in accordance with the style and specifications of these instructions.

All authors listed on the manuscript should have met the authorship criteria above as well as given their approval of the final version of the manuscript prior to submission.

The author(s) full names, office or institutional full address, email address, fax, and telephone numbers should be sent via e-mail message to the editorial office along with the manuscript. The name of the corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk (*) for identification.

Acknowledgement

Acknowledge individuals, sponsors, institutions, or organizations that have contributed to the research and development of a manuscript but do not meet the criteria for authorship. Acknowledgement should be brief.

Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest, also known as a competing interest, exists when professional judgment concerning a primary interest may be influenced by a secondary interest. A conflict of interest can be financial or non-financial, professional or personal.

Authors are asked to declare any potential conflicts of interest to the editor during the submission process.

Reviewers are asked to declare any potential conflict of interest to the editor when invited to review a manuscript and, if necessary, decline the review of any manuscript.

Editors and Editorial Board members who make final decisions about manuscripts should recuse themselves from editorial decisions if they have conflicts of interest or relationships that pose potential conflicts related to the articles under consideration.

Confidentiality

A submitted manuscript is the private and confidential material of the author. The Advanced Journal of Business and Economic Management shall not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, or other editorial advisers who partake in the processing and preparation of the manuscript for possible publication.

Misconduct

Misconduct is the violation of editorial policies, journal guidelines and publication ethics as specified by COPE. This includes plagiarism, falsifying of data, citation manipulation, publishing or submitting a manuscript to multiple journals for publication and text recycling, among others.

In cases of suspected misconduct, the editors will use the best practices of COPE to assist with the investigation.

Correction and retraction of articles

Authors are encouraged to report errors in their articles. Corrections may be made if the errors impact the published article significantly. In order to request a correction, the author should

write to the Editor of the journal who will give authorization for the correction.

When necessary, retraction of articles will be done according to COPE retraction guidelines.
